Nuestro Planeta is a DJ duo dedicated to promoting safety and inclusiveness for marginalised communities. They achieve this through organising events, promoting parties, and performing as DJs. The name 'Nuestro Planeta', meaning 'our planet' in English, reflects their aim to provide a space for femmes, the LGBTQIA+ community, and other underrepresented groups in the dance music scene. The brand name also plays homage to Argentinian heritage, promoting cultural inclusiveness and diversity. Their goal is to create a welcoming environment where everyone feels comfortable and can enjoy the music.

As the brand designer for Nuestro Planeta, my approach was to first define the essence of their brand, including their values, goals, and messaging. Secondly, I aimed to understand the specific challenges they faced and how their brand could best serve the marginalised communities they targeted. The brief was to create a brand that was youthful, playful, and loud, taking inspiration from pop, streetwear, and graffiti culture.
My goal was to develop a brand identity that accurately represented the ethos of Nuestro Planeta, while also standing out and remaining relevant within a competitive dance music scene. I created a style guide that outlined their brand's visual identity, including specifications for typography, colour palette, and a variation of logos to ensure consistency across all touchpoints. Other deliverables included event posters, social media guides and assets, as well as fun promotional materials like stickers and hoodies that catered to their target audience.
